The Voice star Dylan Carter dies at age 24 in horrific car crash
The young singer died from severe injuries sustained in a serious car accident.
On April 28th, TMZ reported that Dylan Carter, known for his participation in The Voice 2023, had passed away at the age of 24. According to US media reports, Dylan Carter died in a car accident in South Carolina. Police said the Tesla sedan he was driving lost control, crashed into barriers and utility poles, and then violently overturned.
Dylan Carter was immediately taken to the hospital but did not survive. He died from severe injuries sustained in the serious accident. The young singer’s death was determined to be an unintentional accident. Dylan Carter’s sudden passing has shocked and saddened his colleagues and fans.
The actor, born in 1999, suffered a stroke due to staying up late, resulting in facial paralysis and a current weight of only 30 kg, causing heartbreak.
On her personal page, Reba McEntire emotionally wrote a tribute to her former student from The Voice: “We will miss Dylan so much. He was a talented, kind, and funny young man. Dylan brought bright sunshine to The Voice. Rest in peace, Dylan.”
At The Voice 2023, Dylan Carter made a strong impression performing Whitney Houston’s “I Look to You” in the blind audition round. He was chosen by four coaches – Reba McEntire, Gwen Stefani, John Legend, and Niall Horan – who all turned their chairs to recruit him to their teams. Ultimately, Dylan Carter chose Reba McEntire’s team. However, the singer was eliminated early in the live elimination round of the music competition. In 2024, Dylan Carter co-founded the non-profit organization The Local Voice to support women battling breast cancer, struggling families, and regularly holds fundraising concerts.
