Actress Rhian Ramos has confirmed that she and entrepreneur Sam Verzosa have ended their relationship, revealing that their breakup happened months ago.

Rhian addressed the matter in an interview with Boy Abunda on Fast Talk with Boy Abunda, where she spoke about several issues linked to her name in recent months, including the allegations made by her former personal driver last January, claiming that she, Michelle Dee, and Samantha Panlilio repeatedly assaulted and “tortured” him inside the actress’s condominium.

During the same interview, Rhian confirmed that her relationship with Sam had already ended.

“Yes, we’ve broken up already. We are not in a romantic relationship anymore,” she said.

“I think it’s only now that I feel comfortable with saying that because he’s confirmed it also in an interview and I read about it na,” she continued.

According to the actress, their relationship quietly came to an end several months ago.

“We broke up in October of last year. Of course, it’s a relationship between two people so it is quite private.”

Despite the split, Rhian said they are both in a better place now as they focus on personal growth.

“I just want everyone to know that we are in a peaceful place now. I would say that we are both focusing on ourselves, trying to be better versions of ourselves.”

For now, Rhian shared that she and Sam are not in regular contact, noting that distance can be part of the healing process after a relationship ends. However, she also shared that they still have communication whenever it is necessary.

“Time, you need that so you are not confused and you have time heal and move on. But we are able to talk to each other or text each other if there’s something that we need to talk about.

“Sometimes you need to move far away from it so that you can see the big picture and kind of heal you,” Rhian maintained.

Speculations about their breakup began circulating in December after social media users noticed that the two were no longer following each other on Instagram. Around the same time, YouTuber Wil Dasovich was dragged into the conversation online, with some netizens speculating that he could have been involved in the split.

Rhian strongly denied those claims, describing them as baseless and embarrassing.

“This is one of the most crazy and embarrassing parts of everything that I’ve been reading about myself lately. Because it is so unconnected and I don’t know why anyone would bring him in an issue like this.”

“Wil is my friend. He’s one of my guy friends and he has been for a long time,” she emphasized.

The actress added that it was unfair for Wil to be dragged into the issue, saying: “I don’t know what the purpose is. What’s that for? To slut shame me or to make me look like a cheater?”

“We’re just friends…Sorry to Wil and his family that someone brought you in this,” she continued.

Despite the controversies surrounding her in recent months, Rhian said she remains grateful for the support of those closest to her, including her family and friends. She added that difficult moments often reveal who her real friends are.

Earlier this week, Sam also referred to himself as “single” in an interview with Philstar amid growing speculation from netizens about their relationship status.

“Sabi ko nga, I’m in love with life. Personally, hindi pa siguro ako ready to be in a relationship,” he said.

“Parang single ka pero hindi ka naman available. Self-love muna,” he added.

Rhian and Sam publicly confirmed their relationship in 2022 when they arrived together holding hands at the GMA Gala 2022.

Their relationship also faced speculation that same year after social media users noticed that they briefly unfollowed each other on Instagram before reconnecting days later. In 2023, Rhian confirmed that they had experienced a short breakup but later decided to rekindle their romance.

As of this writing, their photos as a couple remain on Rhian’s personal Instagram account.
