On May 27, Song Joong Ki’s agency released a statement:, “He has received a casting offer for ‘Chaebol Family’s Youngest Son’ and is reviewing [the offer].”
Previously, many rumors had exploded when claiming that Song Joong Ki and Suzy would take on the lead roles for the revenge drama “Chaebol Family’s Youngest Son”.
“The Youngest Son of Chaebol Family” Release and Synopsis
In October 2020, JTBC reported confirmed that the broadcast network is set to release an adaptation of Samkyung’s popular web novel “The Youngest Son of Chaebol Family.”
The webtoon-based drama is also referred to as a “Youngest Son of a Conglomerate” and will be helmed by “I am Not a Robot” and “W” director Jeong Dae Yun.
He will work together with screenwriter Kim Tae Hee, whose famous dramas include “A Beautiful Mind,” “Sungkyunkwan Scandal,” and “Designated Survivor: 60 Days.”
“The Youngest Son of Chaebol Family” is slated to air sometime this 2022 and will be JTBC’s special as the network celebrates its 10th anniversary.
