CL, actor Kang Dong Won, trot star Song Ga In, and 1st generation soloist Kim Wan Sun are all under investigation for illegally running their agencies.

According to an exclusive report from Sports Kyunghyang, CL, Gang Dong Won, Song Ga In, and Kim Wan Sun all have had cases assigned to various police stations, and investigations into their illegal operations for their individual agencies have begun. CL and Kang Dong Won’s cases were assigned to the Yongsan Police Station while Song Ga In’s was assigned to Seocho Police Station and Kim Wan Sun’s to the Dongbu Police Station.

The case pointed out how these celebrities violated the Popular Culture and Arts Industry Development Act, not registering their companies and thus conducting business operations outside of the legal protections provided by the Act. The case also noted how the agencies’ continued operations outsied of the guidelines provided by the law would send the message that these agencies could bypass the law and the public would react negatively.

Originally, the case was sparked by Ock Joo Hyun‘s case into her unregistered agency. Since then, more artists and celebrities have been implicated, including Sung Si Kyung, who has since publicly apologized.
