On December 18th, tvN’s Sat-Sun drama “When the Stars Gossip” press conference took place at The Saint Hotel, Sindorim, Seoul. Lee Min-ho, Gong Hyo-jin, Oh Jung-se, Han Ji-eum and director Park Shin-woo attended the event.

“When the Stars Gossip” is a drama about the life of Boss Eve (Gong Hyo-jin), who works at a space station, and unwelcomed space tourist Gong Ryong (Lee Min-ho), who has a secret mission, in a place outside the Earth. Raising expectations as Korea’s first space drama, “When the Stars Gossip” will depict the ordinary daily life of office workers after arriving at a space station.

Regarding the production process of “When the Stars Gossip”, a big project with a space setting that costs 50 billion won, director Park explained, “I was a little worried but rather than being afraid or feeling burdened, I thought I would just do it and enjoy the process”, adding “Production did cost a lot and took a long time. The production period of this project was actually 5 times longer compared to that of other works. It could have done 3 dramas during that time”.

Regarding his collaboration with Gong Hyo-jin, Lee Min-ho shared, “She’s a senior actress whom I really respect. I guess I met her later than I expected”, adding “Working with her was a great experience to me”. In response to Lee Min-ho’s comment, Gong Hyo-jin raised her voice, saying “Ya!”, drawing laughter.

Lee Min-ho then continued, “I really appreciate the opportunity to work on the same project with her, to be able to make eye contact with her and act together in a place without gravity”. Gong Hyo-jin added, “I heard some rumors and thought he was an actor who wouldn’t be serious at work. I didn’t see many people who were close to Min-ho. I thought he might be the same as his images in dramas, but it turned out that he’s a person who is very careful about what he says and does”.

Regarding the comment about their close friendship after filming the drama, Gong Hyo-jin said, “He has an image of a younger brother who doesn’t listen to his older sister”. Hearing that, Lee Min-ho replied, “I wish you’d stop nagging at me”, making everyone burst into laughter. Park Kyung-rim tried to stop the two’s bickering, then Gong Hyo-jin commented, “Such a reliable partner”.

“When the Stars Gossip” will air its first episode at 9:20 p.m. on January 4th.
