A court has issued a temporary order barring Lee Jin-ho from broadcasting about late actress Kim Sae-ron after observing stalking behavior.

YouTuber Lee Jin-ho, who was previously sued by the bereaved family of the late actress Kim Sae-ron, has now been legally barred from discussing the deceased in his videos for a period of three months after a court ruling dismissed his actions as stalking.
Kwon Young-chan, director of the Korea Celebrity Suicide Prevention Association and representative in contact with Kim Sae-ron’s family, confirmed to CBS NoCut News on March 31, “Today, the court acknowledged Lee Jin-ho’s behavior as a form of stalking crime and issued a provisional order. As a result, Lee Jin-ho is now prohibited from producing YouTube content related to the late Kim Sae-ron or her family for the next three months.”
Kwon further revealed that Kim Sae-ron’s family is planning to file an additional lawsuit against Lee for defamation, citing recent broadcasts that allegedly spread false information about the actress and her family.
Kim Sae-ron’s family has taken further legal steps against YouTuber Lee Jin-ho, who continues to publish speculative and unverified videos about the late actress despite facing a defamation lawsuit.
Accusing him of spreading false information and intruding on the family’s grief, they filed an additional complaint on March 27 under South Korea’s Act on the Punishment of Stalking Crimes. The court has since approved a temporary injunction to restrict his actions. This case highlights a rare and significant legal move where digital content intersects with posthumous privacy rights, drawing attention to ethical boundaries in online commentary.
As of now, any further violation of the court’s temporary order may lead to additional penalties or criminal charges. Meanwhile, Kim Sae-ron’s family continues to push for legal safeguards and accountability in protecting the dignity of the deceased.
