On March 25, YouTube channel Garo Sero Research Institute (also known as Garo Sero) released a video titled “[Shocking Exclusive] Kim Sae-ron’s Husband’s Statement Revealed (Suspicious Ex-Boyfriend)”. In the video, the hosts stated, “We found out Mr. A’s identity through Kim Sae-ron’s close friends,” and claimed, “He was someone she didn’t even date for a full week before becoming just a friend.”

Garo Sero Challenges Kim Sae-ron’s Ex-Boyfriend’s Claims with Sharp Rebuttal

The video released by Garo Sero also featured a series of text messages exchanged between Kim Sae-ron’s husband, currently residing in New York, and the man identified as her ex-boyfriend, Mr. A. In the messages, the husband pushed back against Mr. A’s assertions, stating, “If my wife had an ex constantly approaching her, I’d curse him out too,” firmly rejecting the claims that have been circulating.

Earlier that day, Mr. A came forward with his own version of events, insisting, “I know for a fact that Sae-ron did not die because of actor Kim Soo-hyun.” Instead, he pointed to Sae-ron’s husband, accusing him of verbal and physical abuse, while also blaming her family for being emotionally neglectful. In an effort to validate his accusations, Mr. A shared a handwritten document he labeled a “statement of facts.”

In response to this, Garo Sero openly questioned the credibility and reasoning behind Mr. A’s argument, remarking, “So she self-harmed while visiting her husband in New York — that makes it the husband’s fault, not Kim Soo-hyun’s? How does that even make sense as a causal link?”

The YouTube channel didn’t stop there, they went on to reveal Mr. A’s full name, age, and place of residence.

They also claimed that he was an aspiring entertainer who continued to contact Kim Sae-ron even after their brief relationship ended, allegedly asking her for help with debuting in the entertainment industry.

Adding to the conversation, Garo Sero included an interview with Ms. B, one of Kim Sae-ron’s closest friends. She expressed concern over the damage Mr. A’s comments had caused, saying, “The family is suffering because of Mr. A’s testimony,” and continued, “I wanted to clarify that the claims about her family being neglectful are not true.”

Ms. B described her personal experiences, stating, “I stayed at Sae-ron’s house often whenever I didn’t have a packed schedule,” and regarding rumors that her parents had taken control of all her earnings, she clarified, “If that were true, they would be wealthy, but that wasn’t the case. I never felt they were financially well-off.”

When speaking about Mr. A, Ms. B noted, “He’s not a terrible person. Seeing that he even wrote a statement, I wonder if he’s being threatened by the other side (referring to Kim Soo-hyun’s camp).” However, she was skeptical of the more extreme allegations, especially those surrounding marriage and abortion. She shared, “When Sae-ron was working part-time, people would insult her openly. She’d pretend not to care but later said it made her feel awful. That’s why she wanted to escape Korea. Marriage may have been possible, but I don’t think abortion was.”

Ms. B also revealed that during a time when Kim Sae-ron and Kim Soo-hyun were no longer in contact, Sae-ron attempted to deliver a letter to his residence, but due to building security, she was unable to get it through.

Toward the end of the video, Garo Sero shared an official statement from Kim Sae-ron’s husband. He denied all allegations of abuse and confinement, stating firmly, “In the U.S., domestic violence is a serious crime.” On the issue of pregnancy rumors, he explained, “Talks of pregnancy supposedly began in January 2025, but we first met in mid-November 2024. Our relationship only became serious when Sae-ron visited the U.S. in late November, so the timeline simply doesn’t add up.”
