Kim Sae-ron’s Family Admits 2016 Messages with Kim Soo-hyun Were Reconstructed, Not Original Images

CBS No Cut News recently published an exclusive report regarding the 2016 messages between Kim Soo-hyun and Kim Sae-ron, which were disclosed by the late actress’s family during a press conference on March 27.

According to the lawyer representing Kim Sae-ron’s family, they did not release the original messages between her and Kim Soo-hyun but asserted that the content is 100% identical to the original.
Kim Sae-ron’s Family Confirms 2016 Messages Were Reconstructed, Not the Originals
Attorney Bae Ji-seok, the legal representative of Kim Sae-ron’s family, responded to CBS No Cut News when asked, “Were these messages reconstructed from forensic data?” He stated, “At this time, it is difficult to confirm whether they were derived from forensic data,” while avoiding further comments.
He further emphasized, “However, the content was reconstructed without a single word altered, and there was no editing, omission, or addition. The KakaoTalk messages with ‘Aunt’ were also reconstructed in the same manner.” He added, “The original still exists, and we are considering legal action, so this remains a sensitive matter to disclose publicly.”
Allegations Against Kim Soo-hyun: Contradictions and Grooming Concerns
During the March 27 press conference, Kim Sae-ron’s family released the content of the 2016 KakaoTalk messages, in which Kim Soo-hyun allegedly requested physical intimacy and expressed romantic feelings for the late actress when she was only 17 years old (Korean age, 15 by international age). The messages suggest that a romantic relationship may have existed between them.
This directly contradicts Kim Soo-hyun’s previous denial of ever dating a minor, raising renewed controversy and speculation about potential “grooming” behavior—a term referring to psychological manipulation for the purpose of sexual exploitation.
As of now, Kim Soo-hyun has not issued any response regarding the allegations.
