The vehicle crashed into a median strip, spun out of control, and was then struck by a truck that couldn’t brake in time, completely crushing the rear of the car.
While her assistant sustained only minor injuries, Xu Wei Lun was critically injured. Upon arriving at the hospital, she was in a deep coma, suffering from severe brain hemorrhage, bleeding from both ears, and chest trauma. Doctors predicted that even if she survived, she would remain in a vegetative state.
Despite receiving intensive medical care for 48 hours, Xu Wei Lun couldn’t pull through. She took her last breath at 7:37 PM on January 28, 2007, passing away at just 29 years old.
Following her death, speculation arose about the mysterious connection between the number 128 and her passing. She died on January 28 (1/28), and coincidentally, her idol, singer Wang Mo Jun, had also died in a car accident on the same date.
Moreover, her family had planned to move into an apartment numbered 128 just before her accident. Her personal diary contained exactly 128 pages, and the last book she read featured a protagonist who also died on January 28. These eerie coincidences made her death all the more mysterious.
