Sulli’s Brother Mentions Kim Soo-hyun, Goo Hara, IU, Suzy and “Real” Cast: “IU Handed Script to Sulli
The late Sulli’s brother, Choi, has once again drawn attention online after sharing a cryptic and controversial post on April 2, referencing multiple public figures and the film “Real,” which starred Sulli and Kim Soo-hyun.
Questionable Remarks Mentioning Various Celebrities
In his post, Choi listed the names of several celebrities and industry professionals including Kim Soo-hyun, director Lee Sa-rang (Lee Ro-be), YouTuber Lee Jin-ho, and Kim Sae-ron’s manager, along with former director Lee Jung-sub, who was replaced during the production of “Real.” He also named IU, Kim Sun-ah, Sulli, Han Ji-eun, Suzy, Ahn So-hee, the late Goo Hara, and Kim Sae-ron.
Alongside the list, he wrote phrases like “Golden Medalist” and “Real”, hinting at connections between these individuals, the agency Golden Medalist, and the controversial film, as well as revealed Sulli’s alleged past relationship with Block B’s P.O.
Additionally, the brother, who previously praised IU for helping Sulli both artistically and emotionally, suddenly edited his post to say, “IU was close with Kim Soo-hyun. After rejecting the original female lead role in ‘Real‘, she handed the script over to Sulli.”
He also added, “There was a body double on set during Real. The shoot followed the storyboard, but after the film was released, people said, ‘If we knew it would be edited this way, wouldn’t it have been better to use a double?’ At the time, Sulli was in a physically and mentally difficult state.”
Meanwhile, when asked for a response regarding this new allegation, IU’s side stated, “We have no comment.”
Ongoing Allegations Tied to “Real” and Sulli’s Final Years
Choi has previously made multiple accusations against Kim Soo-hyun and his cousin, director Lee Sa-rang, claiming that they pressured Sulli into filming intimate scenes during the production of “Real” (2017). He suggests that this contributed to her psychological distress and eventual death in 2019.
The family stated, “During Sulli’s funeral in 2019, we heard questionable information – that there was originally a body double for the bed scenes in “Real,” but despite the double being present on set, Sulli was allegedly persuaded to film the scenes herself.”
They further demanded clarification, “We were told the bed scenes between Sulli and Kim Soo-hyun were not initially scripted in such detail. There was a body double for nude scenes, so why was Sulli pressured into filming them instead?”
Despite the rising public attention, Kim Soo-hyun’s side has not responded to the accusations.
“Real” is a noir-action film about a casino conspiracy, starring Kim Soo-hyun and Sulli, followed by listing actors who appeared in the movie: IU, Kim Sun-ah, Sulli, Han Ji-eun, Suzy, and Ahn So-hee. Originally directed by Lee Jung-sub, it was later taken over by Kim’s cousin, Lee Sa-rang — a change now central to ongoing controversy.
Public Response Divided as Silence Continues
Choi’s recent post has reignited debate, with some demanding transparency from the people involved, while others question the timing and manner in which these allegations are being raised. The lack of response from those named, particularly Kim Soo-hyun, continues to add fuel to the fire.
As the controversy surrounding “Real” and Sulli’s experience during its production resurfaces, the public waits to see whether further statements — or legal action — will follow.
