On April 28, Sohu reported that the Chinese entertainment industry is reeling from a video providing evidence that businessman Yang Zi had an affair and an illegitimate child with Miss Universe Li Xuanzi during his marriage to star Huang Shengyi. Paparazzi claim they captured footage of Yang Zi escorting Li Xuanzi and a baby to a postpartum confinement center in April 2025. Notably, the child was born just three months after the media CEO finalized his divorce from Huang Shengyi.
According to C-biz sources, the pageant queen born in 2003 successfully “ousted” Huang Shengyi from the wealthy family thanks to her pregnancy. Recently, Yang Zi reportedly introduced Li Xuanzi and the baby to his 91-year-old mother. Since having a child with the media tycoon, Miss Universe China 2021 has been living the life of a true “socialite,” draped in luxury brands from head to toe and frequently posting from high-end travel destinations.

Li Xuanzi was known to be close “sworn sisters” with Huang Shengyi. Despite being crowned Miss Universe China 2021 and finishing as runner-up in the 2020 Miss Tourism Fashion International, her career remained stagnant. In late 2023, seeing her junior struggling to find stable work, Huang Shengyi brought Li Xuanzi into her husband’s company, hiring her as an assistant for Yang Zi’s livestream sales.
