On the morning of February 17, the Korean National Police Agency in Seodaemun District, Seoul held a press conference on Kim Sae Ron’s death. At the press conference, an official concluded: “Looking at the case, we found that the victim made an extreme choice, and we plan to handle the case like previous suicide cases.”
“We did not find a suicide note. There was nothing unusual in the investigation,” the official stated. In addition, the police will not release the autopsy results according to the wishes of the actress’s family.
At 4:50 p.m. (Korean time) on February 16, Kim Sae Ron was found dead at her home. Korean media reported that Kim Sae Ron’s friend had an appointment but could not contact her, so she reported it to the police. At the scene, the police found no evidence of a crime or signs of intrusion.
Family reveals important information about Kim Sae Ron’s funeral
Kim Sae Ron’s funeral will be held at the funeral home of Ansan Medical Center in Songpa District, Seoul from today. The memorial service will be held on February 19. The parents and sisters Kim Ah Ron (23 years old), Kim Ye Ron (20 years old) will preside over the funeral. The bereaved family expressed their wish to hold a private funeral, without the media.
