Famous South Korean singer Lee Jun Young has passed away!
The news of Lee Jun Young’s death was shared by a close colleague. The cause of death has not been publicly disclosed.
Singer and songwriter Lee Jun Young (stage name LeeZu) passed away at the age of 42, leaving many in the South Korean music community saddened, according to My Daily.
The sad news was confirmed by musician Wang Jeong Hyun on May 4th through a social media post. He wrote: “My friend and beloved songwriter of DJMAX, LeeZu, has begun a long journey alone. I sincerely hope you will remember the songs he left behind so that he will not feel lonely on his next journey. May he rest in peace.”
Lee Jun Young, born in 1984, participated in many music projects for the DJMAX game series, most notably The Guilty and Burn it Down. He also composed music for the games Eloa and Crystal Hearts. In addition, the artist contributed vocals to the song “Love is Beautiful.”
Throughout his career, Lee Jun Young has worked under various stage names, such as DEVA, P. Remi, and P’sycho-Remi.
After getting married, Lee Jun Young moved from Seoul to live in the countryside. He occasionally appears on lifestyle programs such as “6 PM Back to My Hometown.” After his divorce in 2023, he continued his creative work while sharing his personal life through his YouTube channel.
Notably, on April 25th, LeeZu posted a video titled “Goodbye” on his “Wandering Unemployed” channel, accompanied by the short message: “Thank you and I’m sorry everyone.”
