Pinoy Big Brother couple Fumiya Sankai and Kate Valdez announce their breakup.
MANILA — Former “Pinoy Big Brother” housemate Fumiya Sankai and Kate Valdez have announced the end of their romantic relationship.
The two confirmed their split through a joint statement released on Instagram on Sunday.

“Following considerable thought, we have mutually decided to go our separate ways. This decision was made with respect, understanding, and care for one another,” the two shared.
Sankai and Valdez also shared that their breakup is necessary for them to grow individually, giving them the time and space to heal and to better themselves.
In previous interview with Boy Abunda, the two shared that they first met through a common friend.
After being friends, they became a couple without traditional courtship explaining that it’s not part of Japanese culture.
Sankai is part of “Pinoy Big Brother: Otso” and known as part of Team LAYF with Lou Yanong, André Brouillette, and big winner Yamyam Gucong.
