On February 4, Cha Jung-won’s agency, Saram Entertainment, told Hankyung.com, “It is true that Cha Jung-won and Ha Jung-woo are dating with good feelings toward each other.” However, the agency was cautious regarding marriage rumors, adding, “Nothing has been decided yet.”

The confirmation follows recent reports surrounding Ha Jung-woo’s alleged “July wedding.” Earlier, Dispatch reported that Ha Jung-woo and Cha Jung-won first met through mutual acquaintances in 2020 and eventually developed into a romantic relationship. According to the report, the couple has been discussing marriage since last year and is considering the summer of this year, though no official plans have been finalized.

Born in 1978, Ha Jung-woo debuted in 2002 and first gained recognition through the film Forgiven Man and the drama Lovers in Prague. He rose to top-star status with The Chaser and went on to solidify his position with a string of successful films, including My Dear Enemy, The Yellow Sea, Nameless Gangster: Rules of the Time, Berlin, Assassination, The Handmaiden, 1987, and the Along With the Gods series. He has been widely praised for balancing box-office success with strong acting performances.

Ha Jung-woo has also remained active behind the camera as a director, helming films such as Roller Coaster and Chronicle of a Blood Merchant, followed more recently by Lobby and People Upstairs.
