First of all, I wish you all a Happy New Year and hope it is a year full of happiness.
I am writing this because there is something I would like to tell you as we welcome the New Year. After much consideration, I have found a precious person I want to spend the rest of my life with. In order to build our own simple daily life together, I intend to retire from my 15-year career as an actor.
The 15 years I’ve dedicated to my acting career since my debut at 21 have been truly precious, and after much careful consideration, I’m finally able to share this with you.
For the first time in my life, I want to have fun and enjoy life with the person I want to protect for the rest of my life.
Please watch over my daily life with my precious lover and best friend, who has been with me for over four years.
I wish you health and happiness in the new year of 2026. Thank you.
Sincerely, Jo Yoon Woo.”
