Kim Sae Ron‘s mother has shared more evidence she claims proves Kim Soo Hyun dated her as a minor.

Through her legal representatives, Kim Sae Ron’s mother shared four pieces of evidence to refute Kim Soo Hyun and his legal counsel’s claims that the evidence is fabricated.

After a lot of consideration, I have gathered the courage to make a statement. This case is currently under investigation and the authorities advised both sides to refrain from going to the media and we initially accepted this. However, Kim Soo Hyun’s legal counsel has been using social media to direct public opinion with their false claims.

To show how Kim Sae Ron dated Kim Soo Hyun while she was a minor, we are sharing some of the evidence we have. We hope this press release will be the last media response from either side, and we await the results of the investigation.

The first piece of evidence she shared was a statement by an acquaintance of Kim Sae Ron’s, who stated how Kim Soo Hyun drove Kim Sae Ron to the airport when she was a minor and also shared pictures of how Kim Sae Ron changed her cats names to match Kim Soo Hyun’s hit K-Drama The Moon Embracing the Sun. Her cats were previously named Patdeok and Guldeok, but were changed to Dal (Moon) and Gureum (Cloud).

1. Recorded statement from an acquaintance

Speaker A: Right. When I went to Jeju Island with [redacted] and Sae Ron, Kim Soo Hyun drove us to the airport.

Speaker B: That’s right.

Speaker A: That’s when she was 18, right? [T/N: the legal age of adulthood in Korea is 19 international age]

The second piece of evidence she shared was a series of messages written by Kim Sae Ron on September 28, 2017, when she was 17. The messages were sent to Kim Soo Hyun prior to his military enlistment on October 23, 2017. Kim Sae Ron’s mother used these messages to support her claim that the two were already in a relationship at this time.

Message 1 (far left): I want to spend the rest of the time you have [before enlistment] with you, can’t I? You don’t want that?

Message 2 (middle): How do you feel?

Message 3 (right): I can’t say that I want to spend everyday together with you? You don’t want to? Is that how you feel? Your feelings? Do you want me to say it for real? It’s depressing, really depressing, but I’m not saying this just because you’re going to the military, I’m going to speak for real, so listen up. From the start, I’ve been hurt by a lot of people and that’s not something I take lightly. I’ve been hurt by a lot of people I met before, so I’ve been very careful. When I see you, I also have a lot to think about. We both have things we need to work on, but the first thing is our age difference. Because of it, it seems like I’m the one who sees you as important, but I thought you were the one who wanted to keep genuinely seeing me. Honestly, I don’t know how you feel right now and even if I don’t know, this is how I feel. Right now, honestly speaking person to person, I feel like you’re someone I care about, someone that trust, want to build memories with, share emotions. But we don’t have a lot of that, you need to tell me what you think so I can also act properly and organize my own thoughts well. Do you think it’s okay for me to think like this? Now, I’m asking you. If you really have intentions on seeing me again, then I can wait for you. Or rather than just wait, I can just continue liking you.

The next set of evidence she revealed were two pictures of messages between Kim Soo Hyun (left) and Kim Sae Ron (right). The screenshots of the messages were taken on April 2018, while the messages were sent in February 2018. Kim Sae Ron’s family questioned Kim Soo Hyun’s use of hearts in his messages as well as the content of some of the messages he sent. While there was no name listed, Kim Sae Ron’s family stated that it was hard to deny that she was talking to Kim Soo Hyun because the selfie sent in the messages matches other photos and messages between the two.

Kim Sae Ron: Don’t get hurt, hang in there, make sure you eat, sleep well, be careful, and be well.

Kim Soo Hyun: Thank you Sero-Nero (nickname for Kim Sae Ron). I miss you Sero-Nero.

Kim Sae Ron: (emoticon)

Kim Soo Hyun: Pretty Sero-Nero. I’ll be heading off by myself now. If I have free time I’ll call from the 031-number. Be well, pretty one!

Kim Sae Ron: Yep, sleep well 🙂 (monkey emoji – heart emoji)

Kim Soo Hyun: Off to the hospital lol

Kim Sae Ron: Ok, after getting home and doing whatever I think it’ll be like 9pm.

Kim Soo Hyun: Then don’t go home and come to me!

Kim Sae Ron: Right away? Okay.

Kim Soo Hyun: Wow! What time do you think you’ll arrive?

The final piece of evidence released by Kim Sae Ron’s mother was a message sent by Kim Sae Ron to Kim Soo Hyun. This letter was already previously shared by Kim Sae Ron’s family’s legal counsel.

Hi, this is Roni [nickname]. Are you doing well?

I wanted to clear up any misunderstandings about our relationship, so I’m writing this. I can’t get into contact with anyone from the agency and I’m scared of the lawsuit. Anyway, I’m sorry about uploading the picture. I uploaded the picture becuase I wanted to get the company’s attention. I’m sorry for bringing damage to you because of that. I feel so scared and uncomfortable around the GOLD MEDALIST employees. After I left the agency, no one would respond to my requests to talk. I didn’t want to bother you. I truly wish for you to be happy. We had been dating for 5-6 years, you were my first love and my last love, so I wish you wouldn’t avoid me. Seeing you avoid me and not even acknowledging me makes me feel like all the time we spent together was meaningless. Can we please stay friends? No more, no less. We can still cheer each other on. Do you hate me that much? Why? If this letter doesn’t get to you, then our relationship is truly over, forever. The thought of that makes me sad. I won’t interfere in your life anymore. But don’t hate me… I’m hoping that I can see your smiling face again. Here is my phone number. If you read this, call me. No matter what I do, there is no way for me to convey my true feelings.
