Valentine Rosales Posts About Mental Health and Undergoes an Emergency Psychiatric Session Amid Controversy Involving Ivan Cezar Ronquillo
Valentine Rosales revealed that he underwent an emergency psychiatric session on Wednesday, November 19, 2025—right in the middle of intense criticism directed at him following the death of freelance model Ivan Cezar Ronquillo.
According to his post, he has been receiving a barrage of online bullying comments, with many people allegedly blaming him for Ivan’s passing.
He also shared screenshots of the harsh and hurtful messages that, he said, pushed him to urgently seek help from mental health professionals.
Adding to the turmoil, thousands of angry Filipinos flooded the comment section of his post, calling him “fake,” “insincere,” and accusing him of being unreasonable amid the ongoing controversy.
Despite the attacks, Valentine left a short but important reminder: “Be kind.”
It can be recalled that Valentine was among those who made accusations linking Ivan to the disappearance of model Gina Lima.
He also mentioned that the situation is triggering the trauma he still carries from the death of his friend Christine Dacera (1997–2021). Dacera was a Filipina flight attendant for PAL Express whose death on January 1, 2021—after a New Year’s Eve party at a Makati hotel—became a widely covered and highly controversial case in the Philippines.
