A 23-year-old actress and digital creator from Philippines, Gina Lima, was mysteriously found dead in her Quezon City apartment on November 16, 2025. She was allegedly found unconscious by her ex-boyfriend Ivan Cezar Ronquillo. Soon after her death was confirmed, social media erupted with allegations from Gina’s friends (Kevin Tan and Valentine Rosales) and followers claiming that she was abused by her ex-boyfriend, Ivan Cezar Ronquillo.

What happened on the day she died?

Gina and Ivan were reportedly separated for three years. However, he visited her recently and when he woke up in the morning he found her dead, he told the Police. As per the Police, initial cause of death has been revealed as cardio-respiratory distress. No physical bruises or signs of foul play have been found at the scene. However, the investigation is still going on.

Gina’s friends blame Ivan Cezar Ronquillo for her death

As per Gina Lima’s friends Kevin Tan and Valentine Rosales have pointed fingers at her ex-boyfriend. Fitness coach Kevin Tan, who is a close friend of Gina, posted tributes on Instagram remembering her as ‘kind, cheerful, and loved by many.’ He also shared a video appearing to show several men dragging a man from a red car, claiming the man was Gina’s ex-boyfriend, Ivan Cezar. He also alleged that Ivan had physically abused Gina ‘until she died’ and that he confronted him at the hospital after Gina’s passing.

Valentine Rosales also issued a statement on Facebook blaming Ivan for her death. He said that Gina was not the only woman Ivan had hurt in the past. He posted, “Unfortunately Facebook has taken down my posts due to bullying and Harassment daw, but this won’t stop me from exposing you and fighting for the justice that my dear friend Gina Lima deserves! Claims of past complaints against Ivan surface online

Social media users have resurfaced earlier allegations against Ivan. One post on X from November 1, 2023, warned people to ‘beware’ of him, calling him ‘a murderer’ and claiming he had an ongoing case. A Reddit user also alleged that Ivan had previously been involved in another violent incident. These claims have not been confirmed by authorities.
