Hot Nurse’s Sudden Death Shocks Fans — Male Singer Arrested for Drug Involvement
The sudden death of a Taiwanese nurse famous for her stunning looks has left fans in disbelief.
Kuala Lumpur police confirmed on November 3 that Malaysian singer–rapper Namewee (real name Wee Meng Chee) was arrested and charged with drug possession and use in October. The case quickly caused a public stir after being linked to the mysterious death of Hsieh Yu-hsin, a popular Taiwanese nurse known for her sultry image and over 530,000 Instagram followers.

According to police, Namewee was arrested on October 22 at a hotel in central Kuala Lumpur. Security forces were reportedly operating in the same building in preparation for the upcoming ASEAN Summit when they conducted a random inspection and discovered illegal substances in his room.
Two days later, on October 24, Namewee was officially charged under Malaysia’s Dangerous Drugs Act. Test results showed he tested positive for amphetamine, methamphetamine, ketamine, and THC—all banned substances.
The court granted him bail of 4,000 RM per charge, totaling 8,000 RM (about 96 million VND), with a hearing scheduled for December 18.
Sources revealed that Hsieh Yu-hsin was staying in the same hotel room with Namewee at the time. The two were reportedly filming and discussing a collaboration.
According to his statement, Hsieh went to the bathroom alone and did not return for over 30 minutes. When Namewee checked, he found her unconscious in the bathtub. He attempted CPR but failed to revive her. Notably, there was no water in the tub or on the floor, adding further mystery to her death.
Police discovered nine blue pills, believed to be ecstasy, in the room—evidence being examined to determine whether drug use played a role in the tragedy.
On November 2, Namewee took to Instagram to deny all allegations, asserting his innocence:
“I believe justice will reveal the truth in two or three months. I did nothing wrong,” he wrote.
Malaysia has some of the strictest drug laws in Asia. Conviction for possession can result in up to five years in prison and nine strokes of the cane, while drug use can lead to two years in jail and a fine up to 5,000 RM.
The shocking case has left fans across Malaysia and Taiwan reeling. Known for his bold and often controversial music videos, Namewee now faces the possible collapse of his career if found guilty. Meanwhile, police continue to investigate Hsieh’s death, which is currently being treated as a drug-related accident pending final results.
Kuala Lumpur authorities said the investigation remains ongoing as they analyze further evidence and witness statements. The case has become a major media sensation across Asia, with more developments expected in the coming weeks.
