Suzy Becomes Victim of Malicious Marriage Rumors, Agency CEO Issues Stern Warning
Singer-actress Suzy has unexpectedly found herself at the center of false marriage rumors, prompting her agency’s CEO, Kim Jang-kyun of Management SOOP, to personally step in with a strong response.
Suzy became the latest victim of baseless gossip after a post appeared on a parenting and marriage community site on August 28, claiming: “Suzy is marrying a certain company CEO soon. The announcement is coming. Wow, Suzy really struck gold.” The unverified rumor quickly spread across multiple online forums and communities, sparking confusion.
In response, CEO Kim Jang-kyun took to his personal Instagram to shut down the speculation with a blunt warning: “If you get caught spreading false rumors, you’ll pay the price.” His statement made it clear that the marriage report was nothing more than groundless gossip.
This is not the first time Kim has taken such a stance. Back in 2018, when similar marriage rumors involving actors Gong Yoo and Jung Yu-mi circulated, he famously responded, “Let’s meet face-to-face soon,” before pursuing legal action. Management SOOP has a history of filing lawsuits against those who spread malicious rumors and defamatory comments online.

Fans of Suzy expressed both relief and frustration following Kim’s warning, urging him to take strict legal action against the rumor-mongers. Comments flooded in, saying: “Please protect Suzy,” “We need strong lawsuits,” “These people spreading lies must face consequences,” and “This is malicious and damaging, especially with Suzy’s new project coming out. Please sue them all.”
Meanwhile, Suzy is set to return to the global stage on October 3 with Netflix’s upcoming original series Genie, Make a Wish, drawing attention from viewers worldwide.
