Reality TV actor dies of drowning during family beach trip
The actor was swept away by strong currents while swimming in the ocean.
On July 22, Page Six reported that actor Malcolm-Jamal Warne had died at the age of 54. He died while on a family vacation in Costa Rica. According to US media, The Cosby Show star was swept away by strong currents while swimming at Playa Grande beach (Costa Rica). People present at the beach tried to swim out to save the actor but were unsuccessful.
When Malcolm-Jamal Warne was brought to shore, staff from the Costa Rican Red Cross discovered that he had no signs of life. The actor’s body was taken to the San Joaquín de Flores morgue in Heredia province (Costa Rica) for an autopsy before being handed over to his family for funeral arrangements. The initial cause of Malcolm-Jamal Warne’s death was determined to be a drowning accident.
