Kim Sae Ron’s Family Strongly Responds to Kim Soo Hyun, Calls in Forensic Experts!
Kim Sae Ron’s family stated that all they wanted was a sincere apology. However, since Kim Soo Hyun refused to apologize, they have decided to take stronger measures.
On March 18, Gold Medalist released a 12-page document refuting the allegations from Kim Sae Ron’s family. The company denied that the man in red who accompanied Kim Sae Ron home was Kim Soo Hyun, claimed that company representatives had attended the funeral, and asserted that the debt collection process was merely procedural. Gold Medalist accused Kim Sae Ron’s family of fabricating stories and demanded that they stop spreading false information.

According to Hankyung, Kim Sae Ron’s family recently expressed disappointment over Gold Medalist’s lengthy statement. They reiterated that all they wanted was a sincere apology from Kim Soo Hyun, but since the actor refused, they decided to bring in forensic experts. The family will conduct a digital forensic analysis of old photos of Kim Soo Hyun and Kim Sae Ron to clarify their relationship when the late actress was still a minor.
Adding to this, Kwon Young Chan, Director of the Korean Artists Suicide Prevention Association, stated:
“Kim Sae Ron tried to protect Kim Soo Hyun until the very end. She once worried about whether she should proceed with the forensic analysis if this situation ever arose.”
Kim Sae Ron’s family also alleged that Kim Soo Hyun once asked her to communicate via Telegram instead of KakaoTalk.
Furthermore, the family expressed outrage that Gold Medalist only sent a funeral wreath while Kim Soo Hyun himself did not attend the ceremony. A family representative angrily stated:
“They released a photo of the funeral wreath, but the only people who attended were company staff, not Kim Soo Hyun himself. The two had a long-standing relationship, yet at such a crucial moment, Kim Soo Hyun didn’t show up. Does that seem reasonable?”
