Someone from BLACKPINK Rosé‘s past has come forward after fan speculations.

Over the last few weeks, Rosé has given interviews on her newly released album, rosie, and earned attention for being extremely candid about a past relationship. This relationship with her ex greatly influenced her work, and the discussions have led to speculations on the person’s identity.

Rosé recently released her music video for “Toxic till the end,” which only led to more speculation about her ex’s identity.

Fans first guessed that the person could be Jaden Smith, based on “evidence” compiled, though some were unconvinced. Others recalled Rosé’s skateboarding phase in 2022 and connected it to the music video, as her love interest in the music video is a skater.

Fans took these speculations and examined Rosé’s past interactions, recalling someone she allegedly followed on her formerly private account @vampirehollie.

The person in question is Jason Choi, a skateboard teacher affiliated with more than one skate shop.

Choi also shared a photo of a rose on his Instagram story, seeming to hint at the possibility. As a result of these speculations, Choi received comments from fans of Rosé including several that could be considered rude.

These seemed to have encouraged Choi to speak up on the allegations. In an Instagram story, Choi shared that he was not Rosé’s ex-boyfriend, though he is a fan and asked for the hate comments to stop.
