G-Dragon’s New Song Banned From Broadcasting By KBS!!
“Home Sweet Home”, G-Dragon’s new song is considered unqualified for broadcasting on KBS.
According to IZE, on December 4, KBS announced a list of music products banned from broadcasting on the channel. G-Dragon’s new song Home Sweet Home was deemed unqualified for broadcasting on KBS. The reason is that the lyrics violate Article 46 of the KBS Broadcasting Evaluation Regulations. The lyrics refer to specific brands.
The song was released by G-Dragon on November 22 and features Taeyang and Daesung. Previously, the trio performed the song at the MAMA awards ceremony.
On the afternoon of October 31, G-Dragon officially returned after 7 years with the single Power. This is the first solo song released by G-Dragon since his EP Kwon Ji-yong in 2017. He then released the song Home Sweet Home. This song is currently topping many music charts in Korea.
Then, at the MAMA awards ceremony held in Japan. G-Dragon won the Music Visionary Of The Year award. However, G-Dragon’s speech afterwards caused controversy because it mentioned Yang Hyun Suk.
Specifically, the Big Bang leader expressed: “I am very grateful to Mnet and the officials who gave me the award as well as the fans and members who have always been by my side so that this meaningful day can be better. There are many people I want to thank, first of all Hyun Suk and the YG family. Next is the Galaxy Corporation family and The Black Label. Many people have helped me. Especially, the VIPs (Big Bang fans’ names) helped me get the award today. I am not sure if I can receive this award again, but I will not miss it next year.”
