Recently, Thai media reported on the case of a tourist from Russia who was unfortunately swept away by waves while sightseeing at a famous spot on Koh Samui Island (Surat Thani Province, Thailand). Immediately afterwards, the identity of the unfortunate victim was identified as Kamila Belyatskaya, 24 years old and an actress.
CCTV footage extracted by the police recorded the actress driving a red car at around 12:57 on November 29 to the parking lot of the scenic spot. After that, she was seen taking a yoga mat from the trunk of the car and going down to the rocky area below the scenic spot alone.
While meditating, Belyatskaya was swept off the rock by a large wave. At 1:30 p.m. the same day, the local police station received a report of the accident.
The last image captured the moment Belyatskaya struggled underwater but was helpless because of the large waves, about 2-3 meters high.
The rescue team quickly arrived at the scene after receiving the report. However, the actress had disappeared and only a yoga mat was left floating on the water. Due to the dangerous waves, the rescue operation had to be temporarily suspended.
Unfortunately, the miracle did not happen. The actress was found dead and about 1km from the accident site.
Currently, the local authorities have closed the rocky area below the scenic spot to prevent similar unfortunate situations from happening.
