‘Harry Potter’ Professor McGonagall Dies
British actress Dame Maggie Smith, best known for her roles in “Harry Potter” and “Downton Abbey,” has died at the age of 89.
CBS News reported on September 27 that Maggie Smith passed away peacefully at the hospital on Friday morning, surrounded by friends and family. The specific cause of death of the veteran star was not disclosed.
“She leaves behind two sons and five lovely grandchildren, who are deeply saddened by the loss of their extraordinary mother and grandmother.
