Popular Model & Actress Shin Haeri passes away at 32
Popular Road FC (MMA) Model Shin Haeri (real name Shin Hwa Jin) has passed away at the age of 32.
On September 14, racing model Jo Inyoung shared the sad news on her social media, saying, “Please offer deep condolences and prayers for Haeri, so she won’t feel lonely on her final journey.”
The funeral service is being held at the Deojeoun Care Hospital in Nowon-gu, Seoul, in Room 5, with the burial scheduled for the afternoon of the 15th.
It was confirmed that posts were still being uploaded to Shin Haeri’s social media up until three days before her death. In one of her last posts, she wrote, “Now that I’m losing weight, my face looks sharper… Should I cut my hair more or let it grow? I can’t decide.”
Following the news of her sudden passing, her social media has been flooded with messages of condolences, “We’ll miss you, dear,” “Lay down your heavy burdens and rest in peace,” and “May you soar freely in a better place.”
Shin Haeri gained recognition in 2012 after placing in the Miss Korea Gyeongsangnam-do preliminaries and worked as a racing model from 2014 to 2019. Since 2018, she had been active as a model for the Korean MMA organization Road FC. She also tried her hand at acting with a series of supporting roles in many MBC series but didn’t have many opportunities to break through.
Earlier this month, on the 2nd, Shin Haeri announced her retirement as a Road FC model, expressing her bittersweet emotions, saying, “I thought I’d feel relieved, but I even shed tears,” showing her affection for Road FC.
