Depressed Model Struggles After Discovering Husband’s Affair with Her Own Mother

Model/actress Zhangping once experienced a highly publicized divorce, with the reason being that her husband had an affair with her biological mother. In a recent talk show, Zhangping shared about the painful time and her recovery process after such a shocking revelation.
Zhangping opened up about entering the entertainment industry at the age of 17. She later married a screenwriter after dating him for a year and a half. Despite her family’s disapproval, Zhangping was determined to marry for love, believing that he was her “perfect other half.”
After seven years of marriage, Zhangping noticed her husband becoming increasingly distant and eventually discovered his infidelity. However, what she could never have imagined was that the “other woman” was her own mother.
Soon after, Zhangping’s husband admitted to the affair. He revealed that their relationship had started six months before it was discovered.
“I was stunned, thinking I had misheard, so I asked again: ‘What did you say? That woman is my mother.’ To my shock, he responded: ‘If it wasn’t me, your mother would have found someone else.’ He even twisted his vile actions into thinking that he was somehow helping me,” Zhangping shared.
After hearing her husband’s confession, Zhangping immediately contacted her mother to verify the story. Her mother deliberately avoided her, refusing to answer any calls. Even when Zhangping went to her mother’s house, she was met with a firm refusal to meet.
Once the affair was exposed, Zhangping decided to divorce her husband and cut ties with her mother. Custody of their child was given to her ex-husband. After the divorce, Zhangping felt shocked and heartbroken, even contemplating ending her life at times. She went through a period of severe depression, even putting her artistic career on hold to find a new job.

What surprised everyone more was Zhangping’s father’s reaction when he learned about his wife’s affair with their son-in-law.
The model recalled: “At the time, I didn’t tell my father, but eventually, he found out. After my mother and my ex-husband ended their relationship, she sought out another man. But my father was even more foolish than I was—despite his unhappiness, he continued living with her, pretending nothing had happened. He even brought home money for her every day. Eventually, he could only endure it for a few more years. When he couldn’t take it anymore, he moved out and went to live with my eldest brother. Even now, my father hasn’t divorced my mother. I don’t understand how he can tolerate it.”
Zhangping’s father’s reaction to his wife’s affair with their son-in-law left many people astonished.
During her early days in a new job, Zhangping faced challenges due to the gossip surrounding her divorce, but she persisted. Her efforts eventually paid off, as she was promoted to a management position at a beauty clinic.
Now, Zhangping focuses solely on her career, raising her son, and enjoying life. The model has chosen not to remarry, as her previous marriage left her emotionally scarred and completely disillusioned with love and marriage. She spends much of her time with her son and engages in activities she enjoys, such as shopping and traveling.
