Police clarify speculation about former NCT member Taeil’s offense case
Police have given a statement on former NCT member Taeil’s sexual offense case.
According to police officials, Taeil’s crime is not related to any minors of the same sex as speculated. In a phone call with media, Chief Choi Young Ki of Seoul’s Bangbae Police Station also stated, “I have only been informed that NCT’s Taeil is being investigated by the Bangbae Police Station. I am not aware of the timing of the complaint or the specific charges.”
Lee In Chun, the head of the Women’s and Youth Division at Bangbae Police Station, further stated, “The detailed information, which is currently not available as it’s after work hours, will be confirmed tomorrow.”
As previously reported, SM Entertainment made the sudden announcement that Taeil was removed from NCT after being implicated in a criminal case related to a sexual offense.

The Bangbae Police Station has confirmed Taeil has been under investigation since June.
In a statement shared by the Bangbae Police Station to KBS, they have confirmed that Taeil was booked for unspecified sexual crimes back in June and has been under investigation since then. No further details were shared by the police.
