Male Idol Admits To Hitting Elderly Woman With His Ferrari
He is being accused of a hit-and-run.
A male idol has admitted to accidentally hitting a pedestrian with his car after video clips of the incident went viral.
Earlier this week, a netizen accused Denis Kwok–a member of the Hong Kong boy group Error–of a hit-and-run. According to the netizen who uploaded dashcam clips as evidence, Denis Kwok hit an elderly woman with his Ferrari, apologized to her, and then left the scene.
In a statement, the singer admitted to hitting the pedestrian while backing up his car. He explained that he drove away from the scene because the woman he hit “said she was fine and there was no need” to call the police or send her to the hospital.
“I saw an old lady falling on the ground from the rear-view mirror when I drove my car backwards in To Kwa Wan yesterday.
I immediately got out to apologize to her and asked if she was hurt, and whether there was any need to report to police or send her to the hospital. The old lady said she was fine and there was no need for it, so I left the scene.
I subsequently reported the case to police and will facilitate the follow-up work. I will also be extra cautious of the road situation and safety while driving in the future.”

Kwok is facing additional backlash for failing to report the accident immediately. A police spokesman has confirmed that Kwok reported the accident at 8:46 p.m. on August 21, 27 hours after it happened.
“I was very panicked and was in a mess after hitting a woman, which I did not know how to handle.”
