On the morning of June 12, Osen newspaper reported that Korean female singer Yoo Ara (former member of the group Hello Venus) had been diagnosed with cancer. On her personal page, the beauty born in 1992 shared her story of fighting cancer and revealed her current health status.
Yoo Ara said she accidentally discovered she had cancer during a health check-up and had emergency surgery to remove the malignant tumor. I’m posting because I’m afraid some of you might think I’ve passed away… A while ago I suddenly felt constantly tired and The situation got worse and worse over time. Then I decided to go to the hospital for a checkup and accidentally discovered I had cancer. Recently, I have been resting to recover my health in combination with taking medicine. I feel much better than before.
It’s been almost impossible for people to contact me lately. Many of you must feel very disappointed. I hope fans and audiences will understand and sympathize with me. I will try my best to restore my health this year. I hope you stay healthy and don’t catch a cold! Please be careful with the summer heat, from now on I will try to regularly update everyone on my situation.”
Yoo Ara officially debuted in the entertainment industry in 2010 when she just turned 18 years old. At that time, the beauty appeared in a MV by management company Pledis with her After School seniors. In 2012, the female singer was chosen to be part of the debut lineup of girl group Hello Venus.
