On May 13, the Korean Organ Donation Agency announced the organ donation case of former player Jin Ho-seung (22 years old). According to this agency, the above process took place at Ajou University Hospital on September 24, 2022. After nearly 2 years, Jin’s story was shared.
Chosun said, Jin was hit by a drunk truck driver while returning home. Although he was immediately taken to the hospital, Jin could not wake up and was determined to be brain dead.
After receiving consent from his family, Jin donated his heart, lungs, liver, kidneys, pancreas and eyes. This noble gesture contributed to saving the lives of 7 people. “His family hopes that with this donation, someone can see the world with Jin’s eyes, and live on with Jin’s heart,” Chosun shared.
Mr. Lee, director of the Korean Organ Donation Agency, also thanked the Jin family. “7 people received gifts to start a new life. I am very grateful for the warm hearts of the organ donor and his family,” he said.
Jin, born in Suwon, has been passionate about football since childhood. According to the revelation, Jin has been playing football for 10 years, dreaming of becoming the next Son Heung-min of Korean football. He once played for Incheon United’s youth team and went to Germany to study for a year.
However, after returning home, he had an accident and was unable to continue writing his dream. Even so, he was able to save many people before leaving.
