A rising actor suddenly passed away at the age of 27!
Fans could not help but be shocked by the sudden departure of this male artist.
On July 13, a series of leading Japanese newspapers reported that actor Ryuchell died suddenly at the age of 27. Specifically, Ryuchell was found unconscious at his company’s office in Shibuya, Tokyo on the evening of July 12 and was pronounced dead shortly after. Japanese media reported that Ryuchell’s cause of death may have been suicide.

Ryuchell (real name Higa Ryuji) was born in 1995 in Ginowan, Okinawa Prefecture, Japan. After graduating from high school, he started working at clothing stores in Tokyo’s Harajuku neighborhood and also worked as a model. Ryuchell’s name was noticed and became famous after appearing in TV shows and movies.
Besides, Ryuchell is also a big influence on social media and a longtime supporter of LGBTQ issues in Japan. He regularly speaks on this topic in public and actively participates in Tokyo Rainbow Pride – one of Asia’s largest LGBTQ related events.
Regarding private life, in 2016, Ryuchell married model Peco and 2 years later, they welcomed their first son. Until last August, the couple unexpectedly divorced but decided to still raise their children together.
