The case of an 86-year-old actor surnamed Song abusing female students shocked not only Korean showbiz but also China.
Late on the evening of June 30, MBC broadcast hot news about the shocking sexual assault case in Korea. Accordingly, an 86-year-old actor surnamed Song was urgently arrested for abusing a female student in her 20s (referred to as A). Mr. Song works in the performing arts industry. On April 18, Mr. Song received charges at the Danwon Police Station, Ansan, Gyeonggi Province, South Korea. According to the victim’s testimony, Mr. Song tried to kiss the victim several times and touched her in the laboratory.
When being abused, A tried to refuse and prevent Mr. Song’s actions many times: “Please don’t do that”, “I don’t like that”. Despite the pleas from A, Mr. Song still harassed and abused A: “You look mature like a real woman, and you’re beautiful. That’s why. You don’t look like a schoolgirl. little bit”.
The case quickly became a hot topic not only throughout Korea but also in China. When being investigated, Mr. Song denied a number of charges and asked for leniency on the grounds of “advanced age” but was not accepted by the court and police. In the end, Mr. Song was arrested.
