JTBC announced on June 9 that AStory, the production company behind ENA’s ‘Extraordinary Attorney Woo,’ along with writer Moon Ji Won, who penned the first season, has recently reached an agreement to write the upcoming season.
Regarding the details, an AStory official announcement to Wikitree on the same day, “It is indeed that we have signed a contract for ‘Extraordinary Attorney Woo’ Season 2.”
Furthermore, the official stated that no decisions have been made regarding the participation of actors such as Park Eun Bin and Kang Tae Oh, who played the lead roles in the first season. Kang Tae Oh is currently doing his mandatory military service and is scheduled to be discharged in March 2024.
‘Extraordinary Attorney Woo’ premiered in June 2022 on ENA and achieved an initial viewership rating of 0%. However, the drama ended spectacularly in August of the same year, attaining an extraordinary viewership rating of 17.5%, breaking records.
According to previous sources, season 2 will most likely start filming later this year and Kang Ki-Young may replace Kang Tae Oh to collaborate with actress Park Eun Bin. This will probably be a perfect choice of the director in the absence of Kang Tae Oh.
