NCT Dream’s bodyguard was prosecuted for pushing a female fan to break a bone.
NCT Dream’s bodyguards pushed a female fan and broke a bone and had to be treated for 5 weeks. This is not the first time that a Korean group has been in controversy over this issue.
On May 23, the Herald Corp reported that a bodyguard (temporarily called A) of the idol group NCT Dream was prosecuted for allegedly pushing a female fan and causing her to break a bone.
Mr. A is accused of pushing B, a woman in her 30s, while protecting NCT Dream members at Incheon International Airport. The group returned home at 7 pm on February 20 after finishing the tour in Japan. B was diagnosed with a broken rib and had to be treated for 5 weeks.
According to the police investigation, at that time, NCT members went out of the immigration area first. Security guards blocked the entrance to the immigration area to prevent fans and ordinary passengers from following the members. Mr. A got off the plane later and pushed other passengers (including fans of the group) when they were stuck in the narrow aisle to the immigration check area. A’s action causes B to hit the wall of the passage.
This is not the first time that the overprotection of NCT’s bodyguards has become an issue.
Just a few days ago (May 12), controversy also broke out around a bodyguard assaulting a fan when NCT Dream was leaving Incheon International Airport for an overseas tour. The fan who was assaulted then stood away from the members to record the video. However, the bodyguard pushed this person roughly and made her fall.
After that, the online community criticized the bodyguard’s actions and said that he went over the line. The audience thinks that the bodyguard’s behavior is not protecting NCT Dream but attacking fans.
NCT Dream is a group under the NCT system of SM Entertainment. Debuting in 2016, NCT consists of 7 members who are all in their teens. The average age of the members at the time of their debut was 15.6.
