“Dr. Romantic 3” episode 2: Han Suk Kyu showcases new skills, Ahn Hyo Seop faces danger from an attack?
Despite political issues and complications with licensing procedures at Doldam Trauma Center, Dr. Kim continues to struggle to ensure the safety and survival of North Korean patients in episode 2 of “Dr. Romantic 3.”
At the end of episode 1, the revelation that a North Korean patient had been brought to Doldam Trauma Center became known after the hospital director Park (Kim Joo Hyun) hinted at inviting famous doctor Cha Jin Man (Lee Kyung Young) to work there. To make matters worse, the trauma center began operating in an emergency situation without having obtained a license to do so.
When everyone meets at the hospital, the biggest surprise is that Cha Jin Man is actually the biological father of Dr. Cha Eun Jae (Lee Sung Kyung).
In the episode 2 trailer, while the situation can be partially anticipated, Professor Cha asks, “You’re not admitting patients here, are you?” Meanwhile, Dr. Kim (Han Suk Kyu) remains calm but firm in asking the hospital director, “These patients are critically ill. Where are you planning on sending these dying people?”
Not only does Dr. Kim struggle to keep these patients in treatment, but in a crisis situation, he also demands an emergency surgery while asserting, “No matter how the world changes, let’s maintain peace between us, Director Park.”
Not only is there the risk of the political issue being exposed, but there is also a crisis situation at Doldam. A man injured in his arm and part of a group fleeing North Korea suddenly pulls a knife on a doctor and demands that Woo Jin (Ahn Hyo Seop) stand still.
In episode 2, Dr. Kim’s talents are once again showcased. During surgery, the power suddenly goes out. With no other option, Dr. Kim uses a battery-powered soldering iron, surprising Professor Cha Jin Man. At the end of the trailer, Dr. Kim confidently says, “If I’m not confident, how could I go to war?”
