As reported by the media, Gigi Supitcha’s family is still struggling to accept the fact that their daughter has passed away. The singer’s father continues to shed tears at the funeral, while Gigi’s mother is utterly devastated. Both of them have been sleepless for many nights since the tragic event happened to their daughter.
Gigi Supitcha and her ex-boyfriend, Nat Phumphat Chaiwanichaya, were found dead at her home on April 19th. At the scene, the police found a gun and two bullet casings. Preliminary autopsy results showed that both victims had gunshot wounds to the head.
According to the testimonies of Gigi Supitcha’s family and friends, the singer and her ex-boyfriend had a troubled breakup. Nat Phumphat Chaiwanichaya even threatened Gigi Supitcha with a gun, demanding her to come back to him.
Therefore, the Thai police have initially determined that the motive behind the tragic murder is likely a romantic conflict. In a fit of anger, the man used a gun to shoot his girlfriend and then committed suicide. According to Damrongsak Kittiprapphat, traces of gunpowder were found on the man’s hand.
From security CCTV footage, it was revealed that Gigi Supitcha’s last moments were entering her apartment with her ex-boyfriend in the early morning of April 18th.
On Bangkok Post, Gigi Supitcha’s father stated that he has filed a lawsuit, demanding that Nat Phumphat Chaiwanichaya’s family take responsibility for his daughter’s death. After the incident, the parents of the male victim also called to apologize and promised appropriate compensation.
Gigi Supitcha was born in 2003 and was a member of the music group Kisskazz in Thailand. Kisskazz released their debut single “Jai Man Miss” in February 2022. Gigi Supitcha had over 200,000 followers on social media.
On the Bangkok Post, Gigi Supitcha’s father said he had filed a lawsuit, asking Nat Phumphat Chaiwanichaya’s family to be responsible for his daughter’s death. After the incident, the male victim’s parents also called to apologize and commit to appropriate compensation.
