Audiences Burst into Laughter as Park Seo Joon’s Character in Marvel Studios’ ‘The Marvels’ is Revealed in New Official Trailer.
The first trailer of “The Marvels” reveals new developments centered around the superhero Carol Danvers. Park Seo Joon’s character is also introduced.
On the evening of April 11th, Marvel Studios released the first trailer for the blockbuster film “The Marvels”. In the nearly 2-minute video, Park Seo Joon briefly appears leading a combat team, wearing dark armor and shoulder-length hair.
Fans have been eagerly waiting to see the appearance of the Korean actor in his debut in the Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU). However, what they saw did not meet their expectations. One account wrote: “I thought he would be a muscular superhero in green, but… Park look so funny .”
Many others shared this sentiment, commenting that Park Seo Joon does not look as cool as they had imagined. They couldn’t help but laugh when comparing his appearance to the character Prince Kit Charming in Shrek.
According to News18, the Parasite star plays Yan D’ Aladna in the superhero film.
According to CNN, Park Seo Joon is just one of the notable details in the film. The trailer for “The Marvels” begins with a scene of Nick Fury (played by Samuel L. Jackson) stationed at the SABRE Space Station, monitoring Monica Rambeau (played by Teyonah Parris) in space.
The film brings back Brie Larson as Carol Danvers, teaming up with Monica Rambeau (Teyonah Parris) and Kamala Khan (Iman Vellani).
“Carol Danvers, also known as Captain Marvel, has regained her status from the Kree alien and seeks revenge on the Supreme Intelligence. But the unintended consequences burden Carol with the instability of the universe. The character teams up with Kamala Khan and Monica Rambeau to save the universe,” Variety quoted the film’s synopsis.
“The Marvels” (previously known as Captain Marvel 2) is directed by Nia DaCosta, a relatively new director with previous experience in directing two films: “Little Woods” (2018) and “Candyman” (2021).
The film is a sequel to “Captain Marvel” (2019) and continues to place women at the center. It is part of Phase 4 of the Marvel Cinematic Universe and is scheduled for release in November.
