Before his death, Lee Ji Han was in the middle of filming the drama “Kkokdu’s Gye Jeol” produced by MBC. A representative from the film crew told Spotv News in Kkokdu’s Gye Jeol, Lee Ji Han plays Jung Yi Deun – the ex-boyfriend of Han Gye Jeol’s character (played by Im Soo Hyang).
The scenes of Lee Ji Han in the movie have not been completed. However, the crew has not yet decided on the replacement of the actor. The production team is scheduled to attend Lee Ji Han’s funeral on November 1.
“We would like to send our deepest condolences to Lee Ji Han’s friends and family during this painful time. May he rest in peace,” the crew representative expressed.
On the night of October 29, at least 154 people died, along with many others were injured – after being trampled at a Halloween festival in Seoul’s Itaewon neighborhood. The Korean government has designated a period of national mourning until November 5. All entertainment activities, TV shows, product launch plans… are postponed by this country’s artists.
Lee Ji Han was born in 1998, once appeared in Mnet’s survival show Produce 101 season 2 aired in 2017. After that, he switched to acting and appeared in a number of web dramas. In 2019, Lee Ji Han had her first role in the web-drama Today Was Another Nam Hyun Day. Recently, he signed with 935 Entertainment.
Lee Ji Han’s funeral was held at Myeong Ji Hospital. Guests can visit the male singer from 14:00 on October 31. The funeral service took place at 13:30 on November 1.
