Park Bo Gum announces his first public schedule ahead of official discharge
Park Bo Gum will be officially discharged on April 30.
The first official comeback schedule of Park Bo Gum after his discharge on April 30 has been released, drawing attention.
In August 2020, Park Bo Gum applied to join the keyboard band of the Navy’s military music and honorary unit as a cultural promotion soldier. He passed the practical test and interview, and then officially enlisted on August 31 of the same year.
Park Bo Gum, who faithfully performed his mandatory military service, took his last vacation on February 21 and was effectively discharged early. At the time, in order to prevent the spread of COVID-19 within the unit, the entire army was discharged without returning to the unit when using personal leave before discharge. Park Bo Gum’s official discharge date is April 30.
In the course of his military service, Park Bo Gum received attention as a daily instructor in charge of providing “exemplary leader soldier success story training” to the 680th year of army trainees. Park Bo Gum also reportedly obtained a barber’s license while serving in the military.
Returning to society, Park Bo Gum is said to have been taking some rest quietly for the past two months. On April 11, he appeared on actress Yoon Se Ah’s Instagram as they took a selfie together after she ran into him at Han River.
A day before the actor’s discharge, Park Bo Gum’s agency, Blossom Entertainment, has confirmed his first official comeback schedule. On April 29, his agency told OSEN, “Park Bo Gum is currently about to be discharged from the military, and he will greet you through the Baeksang Arts Awards as his first activity after being discharged.”
Park Bo Gum reportedly received an invitation from the Baeksang Arts Awards ahead of his discharge to be an MC at the award ceremony, and he recently accepted. This means the 58th Baeksang Arts Awards will be hosted by the trio of MCs including Shin Dong Yeop, Suzy, and Park Bo Gum. The three have been working together at the Baeksang Arts Awards since 2018.
The 58th Baeksang Arts Awards ceremony will be broadcast live through JTBC, JTBC2, and JTBC4 from 7:45 pm KST on May 6.
