5 Korean actors who used to be popular but flopped terribly after
The following Korean actors used to be symbols of the Hallyu wave, but now they are struggling to regain their glorious days.
The Korean industry has seen many actors that blow up to become A-list stars after just one role. However, not all Korean celebrities are capable of maintaining their popularity over the years. Besides those who work hard but still fail to make a name for themselves, there are many Korean actors who get boycotted due to all kinds of scandals.
1. Yoon Eun Hye
Yoon Eun Hye was once known as the “Hallyu queen” when continuously being cast as the female lead in two hit dramas Princess Hours and Coffee Prince. However, when she started turning to fashion, Yoon Eun Hye’s career began to witness a downfall because of the scandal over plagiarism. When accused of stealing ideas, the Korean actress not only denied but also said that the designer was using her fame to promote their collection. Yoon Eun Hye’s attitude has made the public turn their backs on her. Yoon Eun Hye even used to be called the most hated actress in Korea.

Because of the scandal, her subsequent works were not well received by the public
2. Goo Hye Sun
Goo Hye Sun used to be a hit throughout Asia thanks to her role as Geum Jan Di in the TV blockbuster Boys Over Flowers. However, none of the following dramas she starred in, such as Angel Eyes and Blood, received positive responses. Particularly, her acting performances were severely criticized.

The current positions of Goo Hye Sun and “ex-boyfriend” Lee Min Ho are now too different from when they were both became well-known thanks to BOF
3. Yoon Shi Yoon

Referring to Korean stars reaching their peak of success the fastest, Yoon Shi Yoon must be mentioned. The actor became a star by starring in the national drama ‘Bread, Love and Dreams’ with ratings up to 50%. However, because ‘Bread, Love and Dreams’ was so successful, Yoon Shi Yoon’s later works could not be compared in terms of ratings with it.
4. Go Ara
‘Reply 1994’ is not only a super hit on tvN, but the drama also helps Go Ara prove that she can act too. It is thought that now the actress’s career will turn to a new page with feverish films, however, the fact is that after the success of ‘Reply 1994’, this Korean star did not have many breakthroughs, even returning to the time when she was criticized for her acting in the past.

5. Kim Hyun Joong
Similar to Goo Hye Sun, the national sub-lead male actor Kim Hyun Joong is also famous thanks to ‘Boys Over Flowers’. Thanks to that, he was fortunate to become the male lead in a number of films such as ‘Playful Kiss’, ‘Inspiring Generation’. His career was going up so fast and then the incident when his ex-girlfriend filed a lawsuit against Kim Hyun Joong on the grounds of assault causing bruises and broken ribs. Coupled with a years-long legal battle came the demise of a rising star’s career.
Not sure where you get your facts from saying that fans don’t still Love Kim Hyun Joong but WE STILL DO AND WE ARE ALL OVER THE WORLD In LARGE QUANTITIES,PRAISING HIS MUSIC ABILITY AND ARTISTRY!
Lucyelena
Kim Hyun Joong is doing just fine and your lack of reporting the details on his case with the crazy ex wife is hideous journalism. Check out his Instagram account if you doubt his happiness and success.
K HS is one great person ,you are not very nice ,she is moltibe talented person . Are you people so jealous . that she picking her self up and making something of her self. I love her movie’s
Kim Hyun Joong has a huge fan base on Instagram. His Henecia fan group grows even bigger. His support andove for his fans is amazing. Be may not be acting but he is still singing and keeping happy with his new wife.
Kim Hyun Joong is not a flop because he is in the entertainment industry, singing, producing music and running his own company. He may be not acting but he is THE HALLYU STAR who took kpop to the world. People still hanging to the 2014 incident but no one talks about 2018 when the court cleared his name. Most are ashamed to agree with the fact that he was the victim because of all the accusation they did in the past. Just follow his Instagram account and the new episodes from his YouTube channel to know whether he is a flop or not! And about the fans. As long as Henecia is with him he is not a flop!
They say nobody can accuse someone of being guilty until the crime is not proven by evidence. And it’s pathetic some people still see a person as a criminal even after the court cleared the name of him. “KIM HYUN JOONG”. Do you know him better than us? Obviously NO. Who knows an idol better than a stranger. It’s FANS. I have been fangirling him for 12 years and I never even once regretted fangirling him cause for the 15 years of my K-pop fangirling, I have never found an idol like him. He is such a perfect person in his own way. You guys even don’t know how much good deeds he has done. He is such a person who does charities without even showing that’s him doing it. Such a humble man he is. To be more precise, he is not a SHOW OFF like others. And he is the only idol who overcame such a massive scandal and get back on his feet by himself on the stage as before. Just browse through his SNS accounts and YouTube. You will find how successful he is as being one of the top hallyu stars. He is still in the list of “Top 15 Best Vocals in Hallyu”. He is still in top list of the “People Favoured Celebrities” by Votes. I think that’s what we call success is. “You started from the bottom, then ladder up so fast with true talent, drop down to the bottom, but again bloom within few years & regardless of that fans still do love the same” that’s how we call ‘Success’ is.
Maybe at that time when there was popular there was still young things change when you grow
Some people get alot of things to care of
Totally fake story. All these KPop KDrama people are still popular still active in their chosen profession. People grow up and do things they want to do instead of being forced to do work they don’t want to do.
Are you saying fans are only from Korea? Those are still loved by lots of people all over the world, super criticism Korea.
