On July 15, Goo Hye Sun and Ahn Jae Hyun completed all the divorce proceedings during the first mediation session held in Seoul Family Court after 10 months of separation. At the event, both protagonists are absent. Instead, lawyers are considered legal representatives attended to conduct the negotiations.
The lawyer shared, “Ahn Jae Hyun and Goo Hye Sun reached an agreement to settle the divorce through mediation on July 15, 2020. The two will go their separate ways and support in hopes. We want the best for each other’s future. Because the couple’s privacy issues have been troubling the public ever since, we want to express our apologies. ”
A few hours later, Goo Hye Sun made the first move on social networks. She uploaded a photo of herself in an event she met with her previous fans, smiling brightly. Goo Hye Sun expressed: “Back to life full of positive”. This seems to mark a new turning point, opening up an independent and free life for the actress.
In contrast, Ahn Jae Hyun hasn’t made any moves since he deleted every post on his personal Instagram account for two consecutive times. Accordingly, Korean netizens seem to have mixed reactions, mostly supporting Ahn Jae Hyun because they think that he is really the victim of the incident created by a Goo Hye Sun.

“Honestly, props to AJH for not engaging or retaliating when GHS continued to drag his name through the mud (which was as recent as this April). He showed receipts to prove his innocence, and that was it. He didn’t make it into a bigger mess by doing a media parade to destroy his ex’s name.”
“Thanks God the divorce is over (It ended faster than everyone expected) and he can start a new life.
For 10 months, Ahn Jae Hyun suffered a lot of prejudices because of liars and haters. He lost jobs and he was bullied although it was well known that he suffers from depression…and everything based on no proof that he did something wrong.
